Mrs. Sudha Vaid hosted dinner for many Mohyal brothers and sisters. Rs.200/- were presented to local sabha on this happy occasion. 22nd wedding anniversary n Smt. Neelam Chhibber (General Secretary Istri Wing Mohyal Sabha Ambala City, & Bhai Sanjiv Chhibber (Jt. Secretary Finance MS Ambala) were congratulated on their 22nd Wedding Anniversary on 18th April 2008. The husband-wife pair is an asset to Mohyal Sabha Ambala City as both are not only active themselves but their children are also very active in Mohyal Sabha’s activities specially in cultural programme.
Bhai Sanjiv Chhibber is the only son of the freedom fighter Lt. Raghbir Chander Chhibber who worked with Netaji Subash Chandra Bose in INA. appreciation The Editor, Mohyal Mitter Dear Sir, Though I am a non Mohyal, even then I read Mohyal Mitter regularly every month. I am thankful to Mr. Balram Dutta, Prachar Secretary MS Faridabad, who introduced me to Mohyal Mitter. It is very interesting. I think, Mohyal Mitter is not only uplifting and serving Mohyal fraternity but it is for all the human beings. Its substance is very informative. I thank the Editors of both the sections of Mohyal Mitter, who compile the matter very systematically and intelligently. I wish them to make more efforts to bring this Magazine atop and number one. Kohli. Uploading and maintaining the Website from Noida was considered time consuming as well as expensive affair so it was decided to upload and maintain the same at MERIT. This work was entrusted to MERIT and from Ist Jan., 2008, Mr. Sandeep (MERIT) and Mr. Rajeev (GMS) started uploading and maintaining the website successfully at MERIT. At the same time there was a demand from the members to make the website interactive and interesting to visit. So President (GMS) formed a committee on 10th Feb., 2008 to further improve the GMS website. Two B.Tech students from Sant Baba Bhag Singh Institute of Engg and Technology, Padhiana (PB), namely; Mr. Vipul Bhopal and Mr. Sumit Singh joined MERIT on 11th Feb., 2008 under the Project Training Programme. The work related to the designing and further development of the website was entrusted to them with a deadline of 31st March, 2008. Since Col. Kohli was out of India and the work on the website domain was required on priority, a new website was purchased in the domain name of mohyalonline. The present domain was expiring on April 18, 2008. Both the students completed the work by 31st March 2008 and a demo was held on April 13, 2008 during GMS monthly meeting. Rzd B.D. Bali and all others present appreciated the work and congratulated the team for their sincere efforts to achieve the successful development of new website. Feedback from the members has been called along with their suggestions to implement the same in the new website. Brief life sketch of the late Shri Mohinder Mehta Mohan: Born at Sargodha (Pakistan) on 23rd Oct., 1943 and son of the late Smt. Shyama Mehta & Mehta Tirath Ram Mohan of Village- Dheedwal, Teh. (Chakwal), Distt. Jhelum grandson of the late Smt. Parmeshwari Devi & the late Abhinashi Ram Mohan. He married daughter of Smt. Shakuntala Devi & Sh. Wishwanath Chhibber. Kumari Kiran on 8th Oct. 1973 at Karnal. He was blessed with two children one son: Swapan Mohan and one daughter Shailly. He was second among four brothers and two sisters family which jointly which shifted to Sirhind where his father died just after partition. He was a brilliant student, but due to the early demise of his father, he could not complete graduation. He served Indian Air Force, Wireless Section for many years but later look voluntary retirement to settle in business. He with his hardwork established himself in Rubber Processing Machinery business and was a self made individual. Liasion with Kith & Kin: He believed in the proverb ‘charity begins at home’ He made it a goal of his life to meet all his kith & kin from mother’s & father’s side. He successfully managed to bring each one of his relatives to Delhi & hosted family for weeks together. A Real Mohyal: Started his participation in affairs of the biradari as Secretary of Mohyal Sabha, Jodhpur at that time Col. B.N. Bali, was the President of Jodhpur Sabha. In, Delhi he and his brother-in-law. Deepak Raj Chhibber invited the Mohyal Youth of nearby localities to Ashok Vihar, they served lunch at many occasions till the time finally Mohyal Youth Wing and Mohyal Cricket Club started. They participated in all youth camps and conferences. Later, Mr. Mohinder Mehta Mohan became founder of Mohyal Sabha Rohini/Pitampura, Delhi. He was the President of his sabha as well as a member of GMS Managing Committee & Secretary of Mohyal Educational Society. Even till the last days of his life, he attended actively all the Mohyal Melas, Conferences etc. He contributed his entire life for the welfare of Mohyal biradari. His death was a real loss of a true Mohyal who served his community purely & genuinely. He died due to illness on 9th Dec., 2002. Brief Life Sketch Swapan Mehta Mohan: Born at Jodhpur on 3rd Nov. 1974 grandson of the late Smt. Shyama Mehta & Mehta Tirath Ram Mohan & son of the late Shri Mohinder Mehta Mohan & Smt. Kiran Mehta. He was married to daughter of Smt. Geeta Dutta & Sh. Dhanraj Datta of Panipat, Kritika in 20th Sept., 1999 at Panipat. He was elder amongst a brother & sister. He was a very intelligent & keen learner from his childhood. He completed his schooling from Delhi & joined 4 year Diploma course in Tool & Die Making Centre at Wazirpur Ind. Area, Delhi, in 1996. After completing his Diploma he joined his father’s prosperous family business. He managed all the official responsibilities very well. He dealt in a project all alone in South India to set up a new cycle. Tyre Rubber Plant. After his father’s sudden demise he came out as a saviour for his family. Liasion with kith & kin: He continued serving his friends, family & relatives as his father. He achieved his goals successfully. Shri Swapan Mehta Mohan actively participated in all activities of Mohyal Sabha’s with his father too and later after his father’s demise too. He never missed any opportunity to serve the community. He held the post of Cashier for Mohyal Sabha, Rohini/Pitampura and was an active participant of Mohyal Youth Wing. He was also honoured as ‘Member of the year 2000’. Even after his father’s death he was in regular contact in all the biradari affairs. His death was a great loss for his family, friends, relatives as well as to the youth of Mohyal Community. He died due to illness on 13th July 2006. May God rest their souls in peace. talent AWARD Paranti Datta daughter of Neeraj and Preeti Datta grand daughter of Prof. V.K. Datta & Smt. Kamlesh Datta, 3rd standard student of D.A.V. Public Sr. Sec. School Jalandhar stood first in the 2nd Standard Annual Exam. She was also adjudged the Best Dancer in the DAV schools Youth Festival and got Talent Award from the Bharat Vikas Parishad Jalandhar.
She was presented Gold Medals in dance and studies. She was also given a cash award of Rs.500/- by Sh. C.S. Talwar, Commissioner Jalandhar. Mementoes were presented by Principal C.L. Kochar DAV Engineering College and S. Sharma Principal Dayanand Model School Jalandhar where she is studying and has been getting certificates for her numerous achievements in academics and co-curricular activities.
