There is no denying the established fact that giving dowry or marriage gifts to every girl, crossing the threshold of her parents at the time of her marriage, is a tradition prevalent since time immemorial. But in the present day world the dowry has assumed such dangerous portents that a woman in general is being identified with the material commodities, she brings alongwith her.
