(3) 3rd Grand Matrimonial Mela: This was an initiative taken by the GMS 3 years back, to help parents of marriageable boys and girls to find suitable matches for their children. Riding on the success of the two earlier such Melas organized in 2006 and 2007, the 3rd Mela was a stupendous success. The Mela was formally inaugurated and blessed by the President GMS, Rzd. B.D. Bali. The earlier two Melas had resulted in the culmination of about 80 and 75 marriages, respectively, and this time, it is expected that the number may be more. Bio-data of more than 500 boys and girls had been distributed at and after the Mela . Arrangements had been made for discussions between parents of boys and girls, matching of horoscopes through computer as well as by traditional astrologers. More than 500 persons had participated in this Mela. Such annual Melas are in addition to the quarterly matrimonial get-togethers, being held at the Mohyal Bhawan Inderpuri, New Delhi, on the last Sunday of each quarter, which also help find suitable matches for the Mohyal boys and girls. Matrimonial ads also are being published regularly in the Mohyal Mitter for the benefit of the Mohyal brethren |
