SMT. BHAI KANTA DATTA (Birmshai 1945 to 2007)

Smt. Kanta Datta w/o Bhai Ved Vias Datta, Mendhar Poonch Wala left for her heavenly abode due to tragic accident and heart failure on 19.12.2007. She was about 62 years of age. She has visited almost all the tirths of India including Nepal with her husband. According to P.N. Bali History she was a pious and religious lady who had done four Dham Yatra with her husband Bhai Ved Vias Datta.

She was daughter of Rzd. Dina Nath Bali of Poonch. During her 45 years marriage life she served all family members. All heads of Distt Poonch encluding M.L.A. Mendhar, all M.LCs of Poonch Rajouri and thousands of people including Hindu, Muslim and Sikhs attended the last yatra. She was a social lady and took part in every activity of Mohyals. She was true faithful life partner of Sh. Ved Vias Datta and partner and helper of Bhai ji in his writing books etc. Her, Dharamshant ceremony was on 04.01.2008 at Guru Niwas Mendhar near post office.

All Mohyals of Jammu, Rajouri and Poonch attended the Dharamshant ceremony.

On this occasion, Rs.250/- were donated to GMS, Rs. 200/- to MS Jammu and Rs.300/- were donated to temples, Mosques and Gurudwara of Poonch Distt. God bless her peace and rest in the heaven.–Bk. Vinod Datta near Post Office, Mehdhar, J&K-185211.
